Description of our Parish: 
   
We are situated in the large East Cheshire village of Holmes Chapel (the current population is just under 6,000) on what was the main drovers' and then coaching route from the Midlands to Lancashire in the past (now the A50) where it crosses the A535 about 1 mile from J18 of the M6 motorway.

In eccleciastical administration terms, our parish is strictly referred to as Church Hulme within the deanery of Congleton, the arch-deaconry of Macclesfield, the Diocese of Chester and the Province of York.  The village was originally known as Church Hulme until towards the end of the 19th century when the name Holmes Chapel became commonly used.
